In east London, a bulldogs killed a woman after being attacked in her home. The cops have since taken the dogs away.
The woman who was attacked was in her 50s, according to the Metropolitan Police. The crime took place in Hornchurch on Monday afternoon.
A force spokesman said, “Police were called to Cornwall Close at around 1:12 p.m. to reports of a woman being attacked by a dog.”
“Medics from the London Ambulance Service tried to help the woman, but she was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.”
“Because of the threat, armed police officers came.” After figuring out what was going on, police were able to safely take two dogs.
“These were licensed XL bully dogs that had been locked up in a room in the house before the police arrived.” During the whole thing, they never left the house.
“The family of the woman, who was the owner of the dogs, are being supported by officers.”
Crews from London Ambulance Service, an emergency response officer, and a helicopter were sent to the house.
It is now illegal to own an XL bully in England and Wales without a certificate of protection as of February 1.

The people who own the dogs must, among other things, have them spayed or fixed, microchipped, and keep them on a leash and muzzled when they’re out in public.
The government banned XL bullies after a string of attacks on people.
