74 people have died as a result of heatstroke in India, New Delhi, due to high temperatures in the last 48 hours.

According to Indian media, a heat wave is currently affecting New Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Orissa, and Jharkhand. Five persons died from heat stroke while working at the elections.

74 Persons Died of Heatstroke In India

However, the Indian Meteorological Department predicts a heatstroke in India 10 states today. The heat wave that is currently occurring in eastern India is predicted to longer for two more days. It is worth noting that this week had the highest temperature ever recorded in Delhi, India. The highest temperature recorded was 52.9 degrees Celsius, but temperatures in northwest and central India are expected to dip in the coming days.
