United has made it clear that Casemiro did not leave Old Trafford during halftime of their loss to Liverpool.
It’s clear that Casemiro has gotten worse over the last year, but his game against Liverpool on Sunday was the worst of his time in Manchester.
Liverpool’s two goals in the first half were both scored by Luis Diaz and were caused by the defender. Erik ten Hag decided to take him off at halftime.
He switched teams to play for kid Toby Collyer, and there were rumors on social media that he left the stadium after pulling out. However, the club has confirmed that he did not leave early and was in the locker room with the rest of the team full-time.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Even though Diaz was very skilled, Casemiro’s mistakes let him reach his goals. Giving goals to your opponents isn’t going to work for United if they want to compete for the Premier League title again. The club’s fans have every right to be angry at the player, who was also a liability at times last season.
He left after the game normally, according to United, and the claims on social media have been shut down. However, people will still talk about the 32-year-old player.
Following a terrible season, most fans wanted Casemiro to be sold, but no one was interested in him. During the summer transfer window, a club source called him a “high-value player.” His high salary requests were one reason he stayed.
What Came About Casemiro?
Liverpool went ahead 2-0 at Old Trafford after Luis Diaz scored twice in seven minutes. Both goals were caused by mistakes made by him. Ryan Gravenberch picked off Casemiro’s pass in the 37th minute, which led to Diaz finishing off a cross from Mohamed Salah. Soon after, He easily threw the ball away, and Salah set up Diaz for his second goal of the afternoon. The defender who used to play for Real Madrid was taken off at halftime, and Toby Collyer came on in his place.
