Anil Arora, the father of Bollywood star Malaika Arora, killed himself by jumping off the roof of a building in Bandra, Mumbai, on Wednesday, police said.
Chiefs of police arrived at the scene, but so far no suicide note has been found, officials said.
The cops have not yet found out what might have caused the suicide.
Officials say the actress malaika arora was in Pune at the time of the event and that she later went home to Mumbai after hearing about the suicide of her father.
After hearing about the suicide, many people, including Bollywood stars, Malaika’s family, and her ex-husband Arbaaz Khan, went to her house to offer their condolences.
The Merchant Navy was where Anil Arora, who was from Punjab, had worked before.
Malaika Arora’s parents split up when she was eleven years old. Her mother, Joyce Polycarp, raised her and her sister Amrita Rao, who was 6 years old at the time.
Malaika made a name for herself in the business as a dancer, model, singer, and DJ. She has been in movies like EMI and Kaante. She also sang in songs like “Chaiyya Chaiyya,” “Gur Naalo Ishq Mitha,” “Maahi Ve,” “Kaal Dhamaal,” and “Munni Badnaam.”
