On in Karachi Shahrah-e-Faisal, a fire broke out on the ninth floor of a building near the Metropole Hotel. The building filled with smoke, and five people lost consciousness.
Police say that two of the people who were hurt have been taken to Jinnah Hospital to get medical care.
The relief operation had to be stopped at first because of the thick smoke, but it started up again soon after. The 50 people who were inside the building were all safely evacuated. This included the people on the roof, who were brought down with a snorkel.

Ten fire trucks and two snorkels are on the scene right now, according to the authorities, putting out the fire.
Also, traffic has been stopped on the road from Jinnah Hospital to Metropole. To handle the situation, traffic cops are sending cars from FTC to Kala Pul.
Officials from the fire department stated that there were no new reports of people being trapped inside the building and were confident that the fire would be put out soon.
The firemen from the Pakistan Navy are helping to put out the fire. Five fire trucks, a snorkel, and people from the Pakistan Navy are helping to put out the fire, according to a spokesman for the Navy.
