After becoming Tehran’s prosecutor, Ebrahim Raisi was head of the State Inspectorate Organization and first deputy head of the court. In 2014, he was named Iran’s Prosecutor General. It is known as the guardian of “Astan Quds Rizvi” and is in charge of the shrine of the eighth Imam, Hazrat Imam Reza Ali, in Mashhad, as well as all the social institutions and groups that are connected to it.
