Pakistan recalled leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed for the second and final test against Bangladesh on Wednesday, after their choice to play an all-pace attack on a slow track failed in the series opener in Rawalpindi the previous week.

Pakistan suffered their first-ever test defeat against Bangladesh on Sunday after fielding an attack without a single frontline spinner.

Their pacers struggled on a slow pitch, while spinners Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz took seven wickets between them to help Bangladesh win by ten runs.

Abrar, who has 38 wickets in six tests, has been named to the squad, along with Kamran Ghulam, an uncapped spin bowling allrounder.

Aamer Jamal, an all-rounder, has also been recalled, but his participation is contingent on fitness clearance, according to a PCB release.

The last test, also in Rawalpindi, will commence on Friday.
