PTI Postpones the Tarnol chowk Rally. The rally that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was supposed to hold in Islamabad’s Tarnol Chowk has been pushed back to September 8 because of problems with the roads caused by local officials and orders from Imran Khan, the founder of the party.

Omar Ayub Khan, Azam Swati, and Barrister Gohar, three top PTI leaders, met with Imran Khan at Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail and made the choice official.

After the meeting, Azam Swati and Barrister Gohar talked outside of the jail. They confirmed that the protest had been pushed back and gave the new date.

While Barrister Gohar was there, Swati announced that the PTI Postpones the Islamabad Rally and new date is September 8 with security in place. He also said that the event would be allowed because the PTI rally in Islamabad is run by Aamir Mughal.

The PTI had earlier chosen to go ahead with its march to Tarnol Chowk even though the Islamabad district administration had said it couldn’t hold its rally, now the PTI Postpones the Tarnol chowk Rally.

A notice about the ruling was sent out by the chief commissioner. The document says that the choice was made based on what the District Intelligence Committee said should be done.

The meeting was led by the chief commissioner, and the inspector general of police in Islamabad and the deputy commissioner were also there.

During the meeting, the DC’s NOC for the rally was looked over. The IG said they were worried about security because of a number of events. A strange bag was also discovered at the spot of the PTI rally.

During a meeting , Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Islamabad, also talked about the increased security risks. He said that the fact that the Bangladesh cricket team is currently in the capital makes it harder to handle the crowds for the PTI gathering.

The administration also pointed to recent events, like protesters getting close to the Supreme Court building, as reasons for the increased security concerns, which eventually led to the rally’s cancellation
