On Thursday, PTI Power Show getting ready, the opposition group plans to hold a public rally in Tarnol, Islamabad. Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has asked to do it.

The PTI power show, which is led by Mahmood Khan Achakzai and is called Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-e-Pakistan (TTAP), held a meeting on Tuesday to finalise plans for the event.

Several important opposition leaders, such as PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Omar Ayub Khan, former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, Sunni Ittehad Council Chairman Sahibzada Hamid Raza, and PTI leader Shibli Faraz, were at the meeting, which was led by Achakzai.

During the meeting about PTI power show, people went over the details of how the gathering would work and talked about the current political situation in the country, especially in light of the recent decision by the Islamabad High Court about Imran Khan. The leaders of the opposition said again that they were going to hold a peaceful rally and stressed that all Pakistanis have the right to peaceful protests under the country’s constitution and democracy.

“Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI power show) have always been peaceful,” Omar Ayub Khan said, hoping that the government would not get in the way of the planned gathering. We are going to keep working to get Pakistan’s constitution and rule of law back. Soon, there will be news of a national campaign against the government.

The meeting also made people worry about how the government and Parliament are acting. Shaukat Mehmood Basra, the information secretary for the PTI in Punjab, said that the rally on August 22 will likely be a historic event, with workers and party fans from all over the country coming to take part. “This rally will mark the beginning of our renewed struggle for the release of Imran Khan and other detained leaders,” Basra told us.

Basra told PTI leaders and workers all over Punjab to get together in PTI power show and attend the gathering, which he stressed would be a peaceful protest. He said that a lot of people, including families and members of civil society, would be at the protest.

Basra said that the PTI would keep working to get its leaders and workers free, such as Imran Khan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Senator Ejaz Chaudhry, Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed, and former Punjab Governor Omar Sarfraz Cheema. “We will raise our voices at every forum until justice is served,” he said.
