Punjab finalizes summer vacation dates for Schools

As the extremely high temperatures rise, the Punjab provincial education minister has announced the dates for schools and universities’ summer vacations.

It looks like schools will have summer breaks that last longer than two months, just like they did last year.

The minister of education said that the summer vacation is scheduled from June 7, 2024, to August 19, 2024. In the next few weeks, the Education Department is likely to send out a notice about this.

Early on, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said that in June, the highest temperature could hit 49.5 degrees Celsius. Also, the hottest month could be August, when it gets to 48.63 degrees Celsius.
