Realme Fast Charging Tech is very interesting. Realme is getting even better at being a star in fast-charging technology. A few weeks ago, Francis Wong, who is the Head of Marketing for Realme Global, talked to YouTuber TheTechChap about how the company is trying a new 300W charging technology.
For a while now, the company has been a leader in this area. The Realme GT Master Edition phone came out in 2021 with 65W DartCharge technology. Realme Fast Charging Tech can fully charge the 4300 mAh battery in just 33 minutes.
After this, Realme released the GT Neo 3 in 2022, which can charge at 150W. The 4500 mAh battery in the phone can be charged from 0% to 50% in 5 minutes thanks to this technology. Now, though, we’re on our way to a huge 100% charge in less than 5 minutes.
Realme Fast Charging Tech
Realme has only said that they are working on this technology. Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, has even shown off phones that use this technology. With Redmi’s 300W fast charging technology, the phone got 50% charged in less than three minutes and 100% charged in less than five minutes.
There aren’t many specifics about Realme’s 300W charging tech. The ability of Realme Fast Charging Tech to charge quickly has numerous advantages, particularly for those who require immediate power spikes, but it also has significant drawbacks. A faster charge can cause the battery to overheat, which can damage and limit its life.
Infrastructure must be considerably enhanced to allow high-wattage charging.
For example, vapour chamber cooling systems need to be bigger and better. The price of smartphones might go up because of these improvements.
However, most phones with lightning-fast charging tech have a number of safety features and measures in place to keep the battery healthy while it’s charging quickly. It remains to be seen what Realme will do for the mind-boggling 300 watts.
