The body of the doctor was found in the seminar hall of the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on August 9. Roy was caught the next day.

He got to the hospital’s emergency room at 4:03 a.m. and went right to the seminar hall on the third floor.

While being questioned by the police, Sanjay admitted that he saw the trainee doctor while she was sound asleep. Sources say that he told the cops that he “jumped on her and raped her.”
