Lady Doctor’s Murder: BJP’s State Shutdown Strike Bangla Bandh, Tension in West Bengal

The BJP will organise a ‘Bangla Bandh’ strike in protest of police violence against the killer of a lady doctor who was raped at the RG kar Hospital in Kolkata, as well as other people involved. 

According to Indian media, a walkout will be held today from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to protest police violence against students who requested the resignation of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on behalf of the BJP. Sukanta Majumdar, BJP state president and union minister, criticised the West Bengal government for failing to bring the accused of the RG Kar Hospital to justice, emphasising the importance of Bangla Bandh against Mamata Banerjee’s cruel regime.

Swindra Adhikari, the West Bengal opposition leader, also condemned the state police’s violence on protesters, claiming that the police targeted peaceful protesting students. Trinamool Congress spokesman Kunal Ghosh stated that the BJP’s call to close the bungalow was part of their plan to disturb the situation in the state. exposes

According to Kunal Ghosh, transport services in West Bengal will stay operational, as will marketplaces and business centres, and state government personnel have been told to report to their offices as normal. It is worth noting that on August 9, Kolkata KR Sanjay Roy, a police officer, brutally murdered a 31-year-old senior trainee doctor at RG-Kar Hospital after sexually assaulting her.
