The BJP will organise a ‘Bangla Bandh’ strike in protest of police violence against the killer of a lady doctor who was raped at the RG kar Hospital in Kolkata, as well as other people involved.
According to Indian media, a walkout will be held today from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to protest police violence against students who requested the resignation of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on behalf of the BJP. Sukanta Majumdar, BJP state president and union minister, criticised the West Bengal government for failing to bring the accused of the RG Kar Hospital to justice, emphasising the importance of Bangla Bandh against Mamata Banerjee’s cruel regime.
