Indian cricket star Virat Kohli said that his wife, Anushka Sharma, was the main reason why India won the ICC T20 World Cup Trophy 2024. He said that the achievement would not have been possible without her constant support.
Kohli announced on Instagram that he was retiring from T20I World Cup Trophy, and cricket after the historic win. He then posted a happy picture with Anushka and an emotional message. “My love, none of this would be possible at all without you.” “You give me strength, keep me grounded, and always tell it like it is,” he wrote.
He added, “I couldn’t be more grateful for you,” to show how much he appreciated you. You and I both deserve this win. Thanks, and I love you just the way you are.
The Men in Blue won their second World Cup Trophy by beating South Africa by just seven runs in an exciting final. In 2007, they beat Pakistan in the first T20 World Cup final, which was their first win.

South Africa got off to a bad start when they lost Reeza Hendricks and Aiden Markram early on. They got back on track, though, thanks to a strong 68-run partnership between Quinton de Kock and Tristan Stubbs. Then, in the 15th over, Heinrich Klaasen hit Axar Patel hard for 22 runs, which seemed to put the Proteas in charge.
South Africa ended their innings with a score of 169-8. Three wickets were taken by Pandya for India. Arshdeep Singh and Bumrah each took two, and Patel got one.
Before the game, Kohli scored the most runs, 76, off of 59 balls. His score included six fours and two sixes. His outstanding effort built a strong base for India’s score.
