Google Chrome has put out an emergency security update for its Chrome Browser to fix some very serious bugs.
According to the Security Advisory, the update fixes CVE-2024-4671, a flaw that could let attackers from afar get out of the browser’s sandbox by using specially made web pages. Another fixed bug, CVE-2024-4761, is an out-of-bounds write in Google’s V8 JavaScript engine that can also be used by hackers by crafting websites.

Keeping Google Chrome up to date is very important to reduce these security risks. To protect yourself from security risks, we suggest that you update Chrome to version 124.0.6367.207 or later. To do this, go to Settings > About Chrome and restart the browser to see if an update is available.
In a separate warning, it was said that Google had just released 37 security updates for Android in June 2024 through the Google Play Protect service. Two security patch levels (SPLs) are being pushed out with these updates. The first one, 2024-06-01, fixes 19 bugs in the framework and system parts, and the second one, 2024-06-05, fixes 18 bugs in Kernel, AMD, MediaTek, and Qualcomm parts.
Android users should turn on the Google Play Protect service to get alerts for new updates and make sure their devices have the most recent security patch level.
