Because there are a lot of birds near the airport during the monsoon season at this time, the government has chosen to close the Lahore airport for three hours every day, from 5 am to 8 am. Both runways will be closed. Because of this, the airport will be closed from July 10 to September 10.
Through a notam, the Civil Aviation Authority told both local and international airlines that the airport was going to be closed to keep passengers safe.
This security precaution is meant to make passengers safer by lowering the chance of bird strikes during important flying operations. During these hours, neither runway will be able to be used, which will affect both domestic and foreign flights.
