You can eat a hamburger in a lot of different ways. With lots of different sauces and builds, it can be anything you want it to be, and it will always be good.
On September 18, it’s National Cheeseburger Day. It’s a great reason to try all the different kinds of cheeseburgers!
The Bad Boy Beastie Cheeseburger
The Beastie Boy burger at Gotham Burger Social Club in New York City is a fan favourite. It has three patties, fried onions, melted American cheese, housemade pickles, jalapenos, club sauce, ketchup, and mustard. “Everyone does singles and doubles, so we went with triples with the same classic Gotham Smash taste turned up to eleven.” The Beastie Boy gives people who want a really powerful burger experience three patties, just like the Beastie Boys did with their three talented members. “It’s a nod to our neighbourhood and the strength of three,” founder Mike Puma explained.
Le Grand Matt
Even though Emmy Squared Pizza is famous for their Detroit-style pizza, don’t forget to try their famous Le Big Mat burger, which comes with waffle fries and ½ lb. double-stack beef patties, American cheese, Sammy sauce, greens, and pickles. “Le Big Matt, our famous double-stack burger, is a fancy take on an old favourite.” On top of stacked patties are melted cheese, crisp pickles, and fresh greens. Emmy Squared’s famous Sammy sauce, which is the perfect mix of sweet and spicy, is drizzled on top. “This burger is a must-try and one of our most popular menu items because the flavours go so well together,” said Troy Tracy, CEO of Emmy Squared Pizza.
Root and Vine Smash Dog and Burger
This burger is made by Executive Chef Lindsey Vandentoorn at Root and Vine restaurant at The Westin Washington, DC Downtown. It has local greens, Chapel’s Country Creamery cheese, sundried tomato aioli, brioche, and hand-cut fries.
