Senior army officer, 2 brothers ‘kidnapped’ in Dera Ismail Khan
Police revealed that a senior army officer and his 2 brothers kidnapped by people they thought were militants while they were in Dera Ismail Khan district to meet people about the death of their father.
The army officer and his two brothers—one worked for the Cantonment Board Head Office in Rawalpindi and the other for the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra)—were in a mosque in Mohalla Khadr Khel of Kalachi tehsil with grieving family members when militants they thought were terrorists came and took them away.

The three cops went to the place where their ancestors area to say prayers for the death of their father on Tuesday.
The Kulachi police confirmed the incident, but higher authorities in the police force neither admitted nor denied it.
On August 1, armed thieves took over the van of a private security company that was carrying Rs 40 million. This happened near the Hathala police station in the Kulachi area.
The guards, driver, and team members who were held hostage were later freed while the van was set on fire. The thieves took the money and ran away.
Judge Shakir Ullah Marwat, who was the District and Sessions Judge for South Waziristan, was taken from the Dera Ismail Khan-Tank Road near Kulachi on April 27. He did, however, go back home soon after the incident.
