Romantic singers from east to west, like Arijit Singh, Rupam Islam, and AP Dhillon, are using their songs to speak out against crimes against women and people who don’t speak out. This is because of the shocking murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata. The song by Arijit, who is known for his love songs, is an appeal to do something, and Dhillon asks if it is wrong to be born a girl.

Romantic Singers from all over India, who are usually known for soft, love songs, are now singing angry songs. The rape and murder of a 31-year-old student doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital shocked the whole country. Romantic Singers from Bengal to Punjab and Haryana have been using their music to call for justice.

The terrible events of August 9 have not only made people demand justice for the victim and responsibility for women’s safety, but they have also inspired singers with millions of fans to speak out in their own unique ways.

Arijit Singh, who is India’s voice of romantic singers right now, wants to know how long people will keep quiet. Punjabi singer AP Dhillon wants to know if it is illegal to be born a girl. Rupam Islam, a Bengali rock singer, wants to know if time really does heal after such horrible acts. A singer from Haryana, Akshay Fouji, who doesn’t have many fans, has also talked about the “anger in people’s hearts.”

If the music goes from luling to warning, it means that something very bad has happened. These songs are meant to bring attention to this wrong and call for it to be fixed.

THE IMPOSSIBLE QUESTIONS OF AP Romantic Singers DHILLON ABOUT THE SAFETY OF WOMEN

After the murder and rape of the trainee doctor shocked the country, famous Punjabi singer AP Dhillon took to Instagram to voice his outrage. The Indian-Canadian singer of “Brown Munde” talked about how he felt about how terribly the life of a doctor who saved lives ended.

This was his first Instagram story. It said, “Woke up today wanting to let my thoughts out the only way I know how (sic).” Soon after, he shared a one-minute video of himself singing the song along with a few “broken-heart” emojis.

The words ask, “Is it a crime to be born a girl?”

In his song, Dhillon also talked about the harsh truth that Indian women face. He said, “For the women who have changed the world, society has refused to change around them.” Society hasn’t changed an inch, even though people have made oceans of progress.

At the end of the song, he asks a deep question that makes people think about the huge protests across the country that happened after Nirbhaya was gang-raped in 2012 and how violence against women hasn’t changed, along with the public’s outrage.

“What took place 12 years ago is still happening now.” He also asks, “Why do we still have to march for women to live in peace?” in the sad song.

Over 3.4 lakh people have liked the Dhillon video, which has been watched 5.6 million times so far. A few of the 3,800 comments are from his friends who praise him for being a “responsible celebrity.”
